Terms & Conditions of Service

Arnaud Jullien – French Private Chef
Introduction
By accessing this website (frenchprivatechef.com) and using services offered by Arnaud Jullien, also known as Chef Arno Jullien, French Private Chef (referred to as “Chef,” “I,” “me,” or “my”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Service (“Terms”).
These Terms apply to all clients, third parties, recruiters, staffing agencies, or any other parties who hire or engage me for services.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and me, and supersedes all prior agreements relating to the Site and French Private Chef Services.
Your use of this site or engagement of services signifies that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or engage my services.
1. Orders and Payment
1.1. Through this website, you can schedule or book Private Chef Services. Orders placed on the website are fulfilled using a payment processing service.
1.2. You agree to provide a valid credit or debit card and authorize me or my bank to charge your card to collect the agreed-upon fees plus applicable taxes.
1.3. A $250 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure any event or service. This fee is retained under all circumstances but applied toward your total invoice.
1.4. The balance of your invoice (total service fee minus the booking fee) must be paid in full prior to delivery of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.5. I may need to verify information you provide before accepting an order, and I reserve the right to cancel or limit any order. If payment has already been made and your order is cancelled by me, I will refund any amount paid excluding the $250 booking fee.
1.6. Invoices will clearly state:
“$250 Non-Refundable Booking Fee — Applied Toward Total.”
2. Booking, Cancellation, and Menu Planning
2.1 Cancellation Policy (excluding the $250 booking fee, which is always retained):
More than 14 days before event: 100% refund of the balance (booking fee retained).
7–14 days before event: 70% refund of the balance (booking fee retained).
2–7 days before event: 50% refund of the balance (booking fee retained).
Less than 48 hours before event: no refund.
2.2 Rescheduling Policy:
Bookings may be rescheduled up to 72 hours prior to the event, subject to availability.
The $250 non-refundable booking fee always applies to rescheduled bookings.
Rescheduling requested within 72 hours is at my sole discretion. If rescheduling is not possible due to logistics (staff booked, food ordered, or other commitments), standard cancellation terms apply.
2.3 Menu Planning:
Menus must be confirmed at least 72 hours prior to the event. Failure to confirm is considered a cancellation.
Menus are subject to change due to ingredient availability or quality.
2.4 Allergies & Dietary Requirements:
Clients must communicate allergies and restrictions clearly in advance.
While I strive to provide nutritious meals aligned with preferences, I am not a licensed nutritionist. I decline responsibility for miscommunications or adverse reactions related to ingredients or suitability.
2.5 Gift Certificates & Promotions:
Public classes and gift certificates are non-refundable but may be transferred.
Promotions and discounts are subject to change without notice.
3. Private Chef Trials
Standard trial daily rate: $700 (including tax), plus ingredients.
Additional hours: $125/hour (15-minute increments).
Trial bookings follow the same payment, cancellation, and booking fee policies.
Acceptance of a trial does not guarantee future availability or ongoing commitment.
4. Staffing & Independent Contractors
4.1. On occasion, other chefs or staff may be provided if I am unavailable or not a fit for your menu or dietary requirements.
4.2. Services may include back of house (sous chefs, kitchen hands, dishwashers) and front of house (bartenders, sommeliers, wait staff, maître d’hôtel, butlers, etc.).
4.3. All staff, including Chef Arno, are independent contractors, not employees of the client, recruiters, agencies, or this platform. They maintain their own insurance and tax obligations.
4.4. Beverages are not provided as part of the service.
5. Client Responsibilities
Provide safe, clean kitchen and event space with necessary appliances.
Parking, access, and venue restrictions are the client’s responsibility.
Any additional cleaning fees or logistical challenges may incur extra charges.
6. Property, Liability & Damages
I will exercise reasonable care in your space.
I am not liable for ordinary wear and tear, equipment failure, or hazards present prior to service.
Liability for damages is limited to total booking fees paid, based upon substantial proof of damage established by concerned party.
7. Force Majeure
I am not liable for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond my control, including natural disasters, wildfires, earthquakes, power outages, strikes, pandemics, or government restrictions.
In such cases, I will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. Refunds may be limited to the booking fee unless otherwise agreed.
8. Photography & Media
I may photograph dishes or events for marketing purposes.
Clients may request no photography by notifying me at least 48 hours prior to the event.
9. Data Privacy
Personal information collected (name, email, dietary info) is used solely to provide and manage services.
Information is stored securely and not shared with third parties except for payment processing, staff coordination, or legal compliance.
10. Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in quoted prices. Tips for chefs and staff are appreciated but optional.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by California law.
Disputes shall be brought exclusively in California courts.
12. Termination
I may suspend or terminate your access to services at any time, with or without cause.
